Friends Of The Friars Gather To Celebrate A Night Of Legacy, Laughter, And Hope For The Future

April, 2018 saw a first of it's kind gathering at our home at St. John the Baptist Mission on the Gila River Indian Reservation. The "FriarQ," as it was dubbed, brought together two hundred friends, benefactors, and clergy. All in attendance enjoyed live music, dancing, BBQ, as well as silent and live auctions. Nearly $200,000 was raised and two vehicles donated to benefit our three new seminarians beginning their studies in Detroit in August, 2018.

One of our earliest supporters was Kathy Nemmers, who, tragically died of cancer in October of 2016. Her legacy of prayer and witness continues through her surviving husband, Joe, who serves as head of our development council and one of our most treasured advisors.

Our first annual FriarQ also would not have been possible without the the help of the Scaramella Faith Foundation, which continues to be one of our greatest partners in ministry. FriarQ 2019 isset for February 23rd.
